A community Lenten dinner & worship series

February 17, 2016—Please join us on Wednesday evening, February 17th for the first of a community Lenten dinner and worship series. Each evening begins with a delicious free dinner at 6 pm, followed by a meditative worship service at 7 pm. Services have uplifting music of differing styles—often traditional, but at some churches also contemporary. Each week a different minister preaches. Come for worship or dinner alone, or for both dinner and worship!

On Wednesday, Feb. 17th, Pastor Ken Smith from Shelton’s First Baptist Church will give the message. Ken plans to point to the great hope and sense of purpose of a life lived through the redeeming power and love of Jesus Christ. Location: First United Methodist Church, 188 Rocky Rest Road, Shelton.

Lenten Worship Schedule 2016
Each Wednesday worship service is at 7 pm, preceded by a free dinner at 6 pm. Our ecumenical series culminates with a beautiful sunrise service on Easter Sunday morning.

Wed. February 19:  First United Methodist Church
188 Rocky Rest Road, Shelton, CT. Rev. Ken Smith will preach based on the theme “Caiaphas.”

Wed. February 24:  Huntington United Methodist Church
338 Walnut Tree Hill Road, Shelton, CT. Rev. Lucille Fritz will preach based on the theme “Mother Mary.”

Wed. March 2:  Huntington Congregational Church, UCC
19 Church Street, Huntington (Shelton), CT. Rev. Amjad Samuel will preach based on the theme “The Crowd.”

Wed. March 9:  First Baptist Church of Shelton, CT
178 Leavenworth Rd., Shelton, CT. Rev. Inkoo Chung will preach based on the theme “Mary Magdalene.”

Wed. March 16:  St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
25 Church Street, Huntington (Shelton), CT. Rev. Barbara Schaeffer will preach based on the theme “The Thieves.”
