Sunday, March 27, 2016 — You are warmly invited to join us on Easter Sunday morning for an inspiring series of worship events. All are welcome!
Easter Morning Schedule
6:30 am Easter Sunrise Service at Jones Family Farms
Located at 606 Walnut Tree Hill Road, the Jones Family Farms is surrounded by a beautiful vista of the surrounding countryside. Residents of Shelton and several other local communities gather before sunrise for the hike up a steep hill to the service site. (Note that warm clothes and sturdy shoes are recommended.) We hope you can join us for this joyous event! Sponsored by Jones Family Farms and the Shelton Clergy Association. For more information see http://www.jonesfamilyfarms.com/easter-sunrise-service.
7:30 am Pancake Breakfast at First Baptist Church of Shelton
Following the sunrise service, everyone is invited to a copious buffet of breakfast foods at First Baptist Church, prepared under the supervision of a professional chef from our congregation. Donations towards the breakfast foods are welcome. (Note that this year, spring is not as advanced as in our photo, but we believe our wooded surroundings are beautiful at any time of year.)
10:30 am Easter Sunday Worship

He is alive! You are warmly invited to join us in joyful worship. Photo courtesy of local photographer Cher Persico.
He is risen!! On Easter Sunday we will join in joyful celebration. What is all this about? It’s about the Lord Jesus Christ, and the joyous new life God offers to everyone through Him. We believe that Jesus lives today through the lives of his followers by God’s grace, through faith and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Whether you have attended church before or not (or have been away for a while), everyone is welcome! Worship here has a blended combination of contemporary and traditional music. Retired Pastor Russ Lesiw will introduce worship, and Pastor Ken Smith will deliver a message about the powerful meaning of the Gospel for each person’s life. You are warmly invited to join us. No previous experience at church is required, and helps are provided for those who are new. We would be honored by your presence, and welcome your questions and comments. For more information, see the “Visit Us” tab of our website.
NOTE: There will be no Sunday School classes or coffee hour on Easter Sunday. Regular classes for all ages and coffee hour will resume the next week.
Have a blessed Easter! Please feel free to call our church or Pastor Ken Smith at 203 929-7704, or email us at fbcshelton.org.
